Drop Your Balls
Click Run Game at the top of the page to play. Playable on mobile and PC.
Drop Your Balls is a physics-based puzzle game where you drop colored balls of varying sizes into a bin, combining same-colored balls into bigger ones. Use your pocket, the shake button, and mode-specific mechanics to turn the odds in your favor and control the board. Maximize your score, and get as far as you can!
How to Play
Dropping: Tap and release to drop whatever ball is in your hand. You can see which ball will be put in your hand next at the top of the screen.
Merging: Match two balls of the same color and size to merge them into a bigger ball of a different color. These are the colors from smallest to largest: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Magenta, Rainbow.
Shaking: You can tap the Shake button to shake every ball. This is useful for repositioning and merging balls.
Pocket: Tap the Pocket button to hold onto a ball for later. You can tap the Pocket button again to swap it out with whatever is in your hand.
Rainbow Balls: Merge two Rainbow Balls to clear them for a huge score bonus.
Rainbow Balls (Standard Mode): In Standard Mode, merging two Rainbow Balls also gives two random, different Special Balls.
Special Balls (Standard Mode): At the top left of the screen under your score, you can select a Special Ball to use, and it will replace whatever ball is in your hand. They each have a limited quantity. Bombs create a blast upon impact that destroys balls. Fireballs destroy balls, and travel to the bottom of the bin. Crystal Balls can merge with any ball.
Metal Balls (Standard Mode): The counter at the top of the screen shows when the next Metal Ball will come into rotation. The counter will become more rapid every time you get a Metal Ball. Metal Balls can not be merged, and are very heavy. If you use a Bomb or a Fireball on a Metal Ball, it will explode, clearing every ball in the bin, but also lower the walls. If you use a Crystal Ball on a Metal Ball, it will turn into a tiny Rainbow Ball. To last as long as possible, only detonate Metal Balls when you are about to overfill the bin to delay the walls lowering as much as possible.
Black Metal Balls (Chaos Mode): They function like Metal Balls, but they can merge to explode.
Advanced Techniques
Save: If a ball is about to fall out, you can quickly detonate a metal ball to clear all balls, including balls that are currently falling before they reach the bottom. Another option is to try to shake the ball back in if it's just about to fall out, but it's about a 50/50 chance and it's very circumstantial.
Double Drop: If the ball in your current hand is the same as the next ball, you can spawn the first one then quickly spawn the next one on it or under it to instantly merge them.
Pocket Double Drop: If the ball in your current hand is the same as your pocket, you can spawn what's in your hand as high as it can go, quickly click your pocket, then quickly click the ball or under it to merge them.
Metal Ball Disposal (Standard Mode): Simply put a special ball in your hand while you have a metal ball in your hand to get rid of it. Ideally, store a metal ball in your pocket until you want to use a special ball, then put the metal ball in your hand before you do.
Bomb Disposal (Chaos Mode): If you have a bomb in your hand or pocket that you want to get rid of, you can spawn another ball on it to blow it up before it falls on other balls by preforming a double drop or a pocket double drop.
Fireball Disposal (Chaos Mode): The only way to get rid of a fireball without dropping it into other balls is to double drop or pocket double drop it with a bomb, the bomb will explode the fireball. It's easier to drop the bomb first, as fireballs fall faster.
